Dan Depies

Dan Depies, Vice President of Workforce and Program Development oversees a large portion of Goodwill’s core mission of Transforming Lives through the Power of Work. Dan has been with Goodwill for 4 years, joining in June 2010. Previously, Dan spent 14 years in Management Consulting supporting clients in Manufacturing, Health Care, and Financial Service industries with IT systems, process, and new product launch projects. Dan is a board member of Wisconsin Business Growth Fund, is a member of Executive Agenda and the WICPA, and is an active volunteer in Boy Scouts, youth sports, and SafeKids Coalition.

Goodwill’s mission is to provide training, employment, and supportive services to individuals with disabilities or disadvantages who seek greater independence. For many, a job is that independence, providing purpose in addition to a paycheck.  

Goodwill is able to help individuals in all of these areas through financial empowerment, volunteer income tax assistance, financial wellness and benefits counseling services. Last month, I focused on the financial empowerment services that Goodwill is able to provide. Today, we’ll dig deeper and focus on volunteer income tax assistance, financial wellness and benefits counseling.

Helping Students Feed their Hunger for a FaB Career

FaB Wisconsin*, Goodwill and 24 other employers inspired 140 students from three high schools who are interested in pursuing food and beverage employment opportunities.

The Power Partners award is given to companies that demonstrate commitment to Goodwill’s mission by providing substantial, ongoing work opportunities for individuals we serve. Since Power Partners began in 2005, 17 companies have received this award.
