Become a Mentor

Donald Driver Mentoring Program, an initiative of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern WisconsinDo you posses a strong desire to teach, counsel and help your community? The Goodwill Donald Driver Mentoring Program is for you!

Our mentoring program provides  a great opportunity for you to give back, share skills and knowledge, and make a difference in the life of a fellow community member. You can provide one-on-one encouragement and inspiration while serving as a sounding board, advisor, coach, teacher, role model, self-esteem builder and advocate all rolled into one.

If you become a mentor in the program you will help an employee of Goodwill or graduate of one of Goodwill’s programs and/or services reach their full potential, especially in relation to their employment goals, through one-on-one mentoring relationships with community leaders and personal advocates. You will help guide an individual toward personal and professional growth in a safe atmosphere that is collaborative, constructive, and confidential.

Mentors must be screened, at least eighteen years old, complete a background check, and approved as a Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin volunteer. Mentors must commit to meeting with their mentee in-person at least once a month for six months. Training, orientation, and resources are provided.
