Baked beans and s’mores for all at Camp Goodwill

Posted by Nicole Michalak on Oct 15, 2015 10:55:00 AM

Participants enjoy crafting at Camp GoodwillEach year, participants from our six Goodwill Day Service program centers enjoy a day of “camp” filled activities, food and fun! Our third year for Camp Goodwill was held on September 9. Participants enjoy camp cuisine at Camp GoodwillOur participants were able to engage in many stimulating activities such as a scavenger hunt, bingo, designing beaded necklaces and creating illuminated lanterns out of mason jars.

At lunch there was authentic camp cuisine right down to baked beans and s’mores! It was great to see individuals from the various Goodwill locations having fun and achieving an essence of commonality. At camp, they were able to reminisce with old friends and make new friends too. A “camp-tastic” time was had by all and we are already looking forward to next year!  A special thank you goes out to all the staff who pitched in to make this event so memorable.
