Basil Buchko Appointed to the Wisconsin State Bar Board of Governors

Basil Buchko, vice president general counsel and chief compliance officer, has been appointed to the Wisconsin State Bar Board of Governors.

Basil serves as a member from District 2, representing Milwaukee County. The Board plays a critical role in educational and career development. It also provides public services, including attorney referrals, public education and reduced-fee legal assistance for low-income state residents. It also strives to ensure Wisconsin citizens have equal access to legal services of the highest quality, and to a system that affords prompt and fair resolution.

“My appointment to the Wisconsin State Bar Board of Governors is meaningful in many ways. Just as Goodwill values collaboration and partnerships to support our mission, my participation with the board allows me to further our impact across the community, focusing on providing equitable opportunities for all,” said Basil Buchko.  

Basil joined Goodwill in 2020. In his role, Buchko oversees the planning of the organization’s strategic and tactical legal and compliance initiatives and is directly involved business and real estate transactions, litigation and contract negotiation throughout the southeastern Wisconsin and metropolitan Chicago markets.
