For Luis Mercado, perspective is everything. Growing up in Milwaukee, he watched as his parents struggled to assimilate and financially find their way.

After losing her job in the culinary industry, Isamar turned to Goodwill’s Workforce Connection Center (WCC) in Bay View to help find essential work just as the pandemic began.

Goodwill's Individual Placement and Support (IPS) program is a partnership with the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division, Wisconsin Division of Rehabilitation (DVR), the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

In the unprecedented time of COVID-19 shutdown, Shannon was staying at Sojourner Truth House, the largest provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin. The Sojourner Truth House was a safe place for her and her children.

When Grace came to Goodwill, it was clear she was a big animal enthusiast but also struggled interacting with people.

As the unemployment rate in Wisconsin remains high, many are facing the stress of needing to support themselves and provide for their families. Yet even in this time of growing worry and uncertainty, Goodwill is here to help people overcome obstacles, find jobs and achieve their goals.

Severe depression and social anxiety were major obstacles in Alice’s life.

Devonte began his journey with Goodwill’s Empower One program back in August 2018.

Daniel started working with Tina, Employment Specialist with Goodwill Employment Services in June 2019.

Eddie completed Goodwill’s former Work Services program in 2016 and recently completed our former Explore WORK service in June of 2019. While Eddie completed these services, he showed his desire to work and his skills.
