Markisha

When Markisha first came to Goodwill, she needed help finding work and decided to seek assistance from the Goodwill Workforce Connection Center (WCC) on Richards Street. Markisha used virtual recruitment sessions, remote resume assistance, remote job leads, and onsite recruitment events to help her get started on her employment journey.

Markisha’s first goal was to build a resume, which Goodwill Workforce Connection Specialist Markeda helped her do. In addition, Markeda sent her job leads, helped with completing job applications, and followed up with her to see if she needed any assistance.

After finalizing her resume, Markisha decided to apply for a job at Walgreens but needed assistance completing the application. Markeda helped her with the application, and she landed the job at Walgreens in November of 2021!

“When I came to Goodwill, everyone was so helpful, so I continued to come to Godwill to utilize the tools and support offered to look for work. I love coming to the WCC on Richards Street. My goal is to grow within Walgreens by learning as much as possible. Thanks, Goodwill!”
