What is your approach or role?
My role is to offer support to individuals with mental health concerns to find and stay in employment or to pursue education that leads to employment. Sometimes, that support might be in both areas at the same time. Partnering with the persons on my caseload to accomplish their goals is how I approach my role as an Employment Specialist in IPS.

What is your favorite thing about IPS?
My favorite thing is helping others obtain their goals.

Professional accomplishments: I have been with Goodwill since 2018. First as a Job Coach and in my current role as an Employment Specialist in October of 2020.

What is your approach or role?
My approach with IPS for members is to notice what is needed for recovery as a whole person so that the member can succeed in employment long term and assist with determining if the member needs to be involved with other mental and physical health providers. I am direct and give assignments to members, so they feel involved with their career exploration and promoting independence.

What is your favorite thing about IPS?
When members can find the perfect fit in employment after building confidence, professional communication and other skills with an Employment Specialist are my favorite things about IPS.

Professional accomplishments: Milwaukee Comprehensive Care Collaborative (MC3) Change Agent and Evaluation Committee.

Interests and Hobbies?
Fashion, Women's and girls' self- defense and empowerment, fencing, and gardening.

What is your approach or role?
I like to let the consumer dictate the pace and really allow themselves to become independent in their job search. Building a good rapport with my consumers has also contributed to mine and the success of the IPS program.

What is your favorite thing about IPS?
I enjoy how my consumers feel when they’ve been in a job for a few months and begin reflecting back on where they started. You really see how much they’ve grown and the different skills they have learned while being in the program.

Interests and Hobbies? 
I like going on hikes and doing photography. I also practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my free time to stay active.

I am a visual person. I work one step at a time to with members so that we can build goals and work on how to achieve each goal, so that the members become more confident and independent.

Professional accomplishments: I graduated with my bachelor’s in justice from Mount Mary University.

I love to read, watch movies (new and old), and hangout with my family and friends

What is your approach or role?
To support people in accomplishing their employment and training goals. I listen to their concerns and identify resources that may be helpful throughout the process. I empower them to achieve their goals and help them reach a level of self-sufficiency.

What is your favorite thing about IPS?
Meeting people who initially doubt themselves and then after working together, seeing them accomplish something they thought they couldn’t and become excited to come up with more goals to achieve.

Professional accomplishments:
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. I am also a certified Community Healthcare Worker.

Interests and Hobbies?
I love to spend time with my children and family. I also enjoy reading and watching real-life crime TV stories.

What is your approach or role?
My approach is to use effective communication skills by actively listening, asking clarifying questions, providing feedback, paying attention to non-verbal communication, and building trust and rapport.

What is your favorite thing about IPS?
My favorite thing about IPS is working directly with our clients. The people we serve are genuinely excited to become more confident, working members of the community. Every day is unique, and I am happy that I get to be a small part of their journey.

Interests and Hobbies?
I enjoy traveling, seeing new places and cultures. I also enjoy exploring Milwaukee, reading, and playing with my dog.

What is your approach or role?
Building relationships with my clients is essential. I believe it is important to earn their trust. I want them to know that I will do all that I can to assist them with their needs. I am rewarded through the success of my clients.

What is your favorite thing about IPS?
Seeing my clients accomplish their goals through the IPS model with its integrated approach demonstrates how successful IPS is.

Professional accomplishments:
I earned my Bachelor's in Human Services from DeVry University. I am also a Certified Community Health Worker.

Interests and Hobbies?
I am heavily involved in the arts. I am a visual artist and play piano.
