U.S. Bank Foundation Gift to EmpowerOne

Goodwill is pleased to acknowledge a generous grant of $25,000 from the U.S. Bank Foundation to help fund the EmpowerOne workforce development program.

Through EmpowerOne, individuals with disabilities build the skills and independence needed to be successful in employment and be a real part of their community. The program has a number of services, from foundation and skill-building, to on-the-job training, to employment and independent connection in the community.

According to U.S. Bank Wisconsin Market President, Tom Richtman, “We are pleased to partner with Goodwill by investing in their innovative programs designed to serve local needs. U.S. Bank is committed to closing the gap between people and opportunity through its Community Possible program, which comes to life through the areas of Work, Home and Play. We are focused on workforce development and believe in supporting people of all abilities in finding meaningful work and discovering ways they can lead independent lives in our community. Goodwill’s EmpowerOne program offers multiple options for providing exposure to the workforce as well as needed training programs and we are proud to support this approach.”

Molly Gilgenbach, Director of EmpowerOne said, “The U.S. Bank Foundation is providing a bridge for EmpowerOne that helps make our service transformation possible. This funding supports people with disabilities in getting on a path to employment and achieving a career in the community.  Our team is very grateful to the U.S. Bank Foundation for their support and the impact it has on people’s lives and a more inclusive community.”
