Community Opportunities Club (COC) members are proud to support their club by volunteering in-house for various maintenance and housekeeping tasks. This keeps the program running smoothly and gives the club members a real sense of belonging. After all, the club is a living, breathing group of caring people who value their place and time together.
Each spring, club members who volunteer are recognized with a ceremony and awards. This year, Todd K. donated the most hours of service at the club. When Todd was interviewed, he provided some interesting background information. He is known locally in his community as ‘Cudahy Todd’ because he assisted the coach of the Cudahy High School football team for 33 years. Todd also donated his time to the St. Francis High School football team and the girls’ basketball team.
At COC South, Todd keeps track of the Greenfield recycling schedule and takes the recycling cart to the curb for collection. He also takes the garbage carts out for weekly pick-up. Daily, Todd and other club members sign up to wipe down the tables, vacuum the rugs, get the mail, push in the chairs, stock the restrooms and maintain the coffee supplies. Watch our Good Days newsletters for the recognition awards announcement. Congratulations, Todd, and thanks!
