"I didn't know Goodwill did that!"

Posted by Mike Matus on August 6, 2014

Find me on:

“I didn’t know that Goodwill did that”…… a phrase I have heard many, many times since I started with Goodwill in January of 2013.  It’s not surprising; the size and scope of Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc. continues to change as we search for new, creative ways to enhance our Mission:  transforming lives through training, development and the Power of Work.

Over my next several blogs, I would like to share with you the many things we do through our Mission Operations in answer to the statement, “I didn’t know Goodwill did that!”

Goodwill DataShield:  Goodwill DataShield is the only non-profit document destruction provider in southeastern Wisconsin.Goodwill DataShield

Through our onsite shredding operation located in Milwaukee, we have been serving companies throughout SE Wisconsin and Northern Illinois since 2006.  Our list of partners include:  Froedtert Health, Marquette University, Northwestern Mutual along with U.S. Social Security offices throughout WI & IL.

Goodwill DataShield is one of only a few shredding companies in the Midwest to be ISO 9001 registered.  We are also an AAA NAID certified member as a plant-based operation endorsed for paper/printed media, micro media and computer hard drive destruction. This means our customer/partners benefit from our high quality standards and our philosophy of continuous process improvement. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction and we do this by delivering quality services, at a reasonable cost, within customer specified delivery times.

As importantly, it provides employment opportunities for both our disabled and non-disabled workforce along with generating revenue to help further support our Mission.

How can you help us further our Mission?  Please reach out to me via the links below to learn more about Goodwill and how we collectively can change people’s lives through the Power of Work.
