EmpowerOne

Posted by Christine Schulz on April 25, 2018

EmpowerOne services include Community Access, Explore WORK, Project SEARCH, Supported Employment and Beyond WORK.Over the last several years, we have transformed how we serve and support individuals with disabilities and the timing was right to re-brand ourselves. Through community member focus groups and our team's input, we were able to collaboratively come up with our new name, that I’m very excited to share with you— EmpowerOne. We believe this new name reflects our team’s purpose and our vision statement:

We empower individuals with disabilities to achieve and thrive through employment,
connection and inclusion in the community

EmpowerOne. We believe this new name reflects our team’s purpose and our vision statement: We empower individuals with disabilities to achieve and thrive through employment, connection and inclusion in the community.EmpowerOne services include Community Access, Explore WORK, Project SEARCH, Supported Employment and Beyond WORK. We also have added a new position called an Outreach and Service Navigator who focuses on educating the community about our services and supporting individuals and families in identifying the best first step and path to job in the community.

I am so pleased to share this information. It has been a journey to transform ourselves to get to this point, but it has been well worth it. Our team is excited to support individuals whose goal is community employment and inclusion!

I have included pictures of individuals we are currently supporting through our various EmpowerOne services and will be sharing more in upcoming blog articles. So be sure to check back each month.
Meanwhile, I would encourage you to come and learn more about EmpowerOne at our upcoming Open House on May 9th at Goodwill at 5400 S. 60th Street – Greendale, WI. We will have several individuals who are in Community Access, Explore WORK, Project SEARCH and Supported Employment sharing their experiences with those who attend! And we’ll also be raffling off some great prizes.

If you have any questions about EmpowerOne feel free to send me an email at christine.schulz@goodwillsew.com.
