Goodwill Laundry Services through the AbilityOne Program provides support in a
work setting for individuals with documented disabilities who have been unable
to obtain and sustain employment in a competitive work environment.
Goodwill's AbilityOne employment and training program helps individuals with disabilities get and keep a job by learning new skills and gaining confidence in their work abilities.
Workforce Development representatives assist trainees in adjusting to a professional work environment. They provide advocacy, support and encouragement as well as ongoing training opportunities and one-on-one coaching sessions to help employees develop work and interpersonal skills needed to maintain employment. This training typically lasts between one and six weeks.
For many, the AbilityOne program is the first step toward economical and social independence matched with advancement opportunities.
